Every Girl’s Right Leonard Cheshire’s holistic approach to ensuring every girl receives a quality education

Report

This report highlights the critical importance of including girls with disabilities in global girls’ education plans and demonstrates exactly what Leonard Cheshire does to ensure every girl receives a quality education.

2021 signals a year of global commitments on education where countries come together to build a fairer and more resilient world post COVID. Yet in 2021 girls with disabilities still make up the majority of out of school children and are denied their right to education.

This report presents key solutions, based on Leonard Cheshire’s research and programmatic experience, that can hopefully inform upcoming commitments on girls’ education at the G7 and GPE replenishment summits, and beyond, to ensure girls with disabilities do not fall further behind.

Leonard Cheshire will continue to support the education of girls with disabilities through their programmes, and work with governments to achieve that objective. Other policy briefings, including the most recent 'Leave No Girl with Disabilities Behind' advocacy brief.
