The IEI is inviting expressions of interest (EOI) to identify and analyze innovative solutions with the potential to transform educational practices and support for children with disabilities, under three thematic areas:
- Inclusive learning assessment practices and utilizing principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) (Selection Number: 1273984): Proposals that look for innovative ways to enhance understanding of inclusive learning assessments for children with disabilities with or without the support of educational technology;
- Inclusive teaching practices (Selection Number: 1273980): Proposals that aim to build a better understanding and improvements in strategies, interventions, and tools that would contribute to inclusive teaching practices to respond to needs of children with disabilities; and
- Social determinants of disability-inclusive education (Selection Number: 1273904): Proposals that focus on demand side interventions to accelerate community inclusion and family preparedness and capacity to support the successful educational participation and learning of their children with disabilities.
The IEI is inviting submissions from non-profit organizations including organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) and academic institutions. Proposals can be global or have a regional or country-specific focus.

Applicants should submit their EOI through the World Bank’s EConsultant2 portal. Click on Business Opportunities and use the Selection Number of each theme to apply.
The deadline for EOIs is Monday, April 19, 2021, 11:59pm (midnight) U.S. Eastern Time. Shortlisted applicants will be notified by April 26 and invited to submit a full proposal by May 26.
