Special Olympics has been dedicated to fostering the growth of young leaders, both with and without intellectual disabilities. This work is undertaken through an inclusive youth leadership framework that prioritizes developmentally appropriate opportunities to build the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values that research and practical experience have shown to be essential to developing youth leaders.
